Elizabeth Ortiz ("Ortiz") brought suit against State Farm Insurance Company ("State Farm") claiming that State Farm handled her insurance claim in bad faith and sought both compensatory and punitive damages. The jury found State Farm liable. Ortiz appeals numerous trial decisions contending that the district court erred in: (1) directing a verdict for State Farm on the issue of punitive damages; (2) excluding evidence pertaining to the amount of compensatory damages, (3) calculation of prejudgment interest, and (4) calculation of attorneys fees. We affirm in part and reverse in part.
